Zach Boewer, vice president of information technology at Scale Venture Partners, a venture capital firm that invests primarily in early-in-revenue technology companies with a focus on Internet, cloud computing, software-as-a-service and mobile products, will be hosting a live, one-hour webinar at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, on “100% Cloud by 2016: How ScaleVP Secured its Move to the Cloud.”
As part of his evaluation process, Boewer did a competitive assessment of Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) vendors Okta, OneLogin and Ping Identity. Boewer selected OneLogin, the innovator in identity management, to bring speed and integrity to his enterprise because of differentiated functionality including real-time provisioning, user-friendly multi factor authentication (MFA), as well as the ability to manage users, their manager relationship, authentication policies and access controls, all 100% from the cloud.
“Scale Venture Partners is committed to move 100% of its IT infrastructure to the cloud,” said Zach Boewer, vice president of technology at Scale Venture Partners. “While the cost, performance and flexibility benefits of moving to the cloud are undisputed, security fears were initially a concern of mine. However, recent advancements in security as a service from vendors such as Avanan and Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) solutions from OneLogin made it possible to provide better security in the cloud than is possible in the typical corporate datacenter. The cloud can actually be safer.”
In the webinar, Boewer will describe the tools he has deployed to manage policy across all his cloud deployments and the lessons he has learned in selecting them.
