Dynamic Marketplaces, Guest Speakers Among Highlights from RSA Conference 2019
RSA Conference is one of the biggest and most important cybersecurity events of the year, and an opportunity for industry experts to meet and shape trends that will influence the future. OneLogin had another fantastic year sharing knowledge and experience from some of the brightest minds in the business as we helped build a deeper understanding of the future of access management.
Dynamic Marketplaces and unified access management in the spotlight
The growth and application of artificial intelligence and machine learning were major trending topics throughout the conference, which coincided perfectly with our recent study on Dynamic Marketplaces. With more organizations making their move to the cloud, the modern workplace grows increasingly complex. This means the role of the CIO will continue to evolve; 97% of CIOs we interviewed said the most successful professionals in their role will have made the transition from delivering technology to driving business value across their organizations. We shared these insights — and what this means for the future of work — from our booth, bringing OneLogin’s industry-leading access management solutions to the forefront.
Another major highlight from our booth were presentations hosted by OneLogin Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Thomas Pedersen, who emphasized the fundamental benefits of OneLogin Unified Access Management for complex organizations managing both on-prem and cloud applications. His presentations energized booth guests for more meaningful discussions with team members about adopting OneLogin’s industry-leading solutions.

OneLogin partner power
A huge shout out to our partners from ICSynergy, Saviynt, Exabeam, Yubico, BeyondTrust and Port53 Technologies, who shared outstanding presentations from our booth theater highlighting some of the key issues and areas of growth in the cybersecurity industry. These insightful discussions touched on many leading industry topics, from the ever-changing landscape of privacy regulations to cloud-based IoT risks. Guest speakers also introduced the latest products to simplify access management, enable single sign-on and streamline multi-factor authentication.

Featuring OneLogin’s latest products for hybrid enterprises Our teams also met with partners and prospective OneLogin customers to introduce the new capabilities of our Winter ‘19 product release. As more companies understand the need for a hybrid access environment, they are coming to OneLogin as the industry leader and innovator in that space. The new access, authentication and admin experiences built into our latest release dazzled everyone and helped spur discussions about access management.

An intimate conversation about diversity and inclusion
For years, the cybersecurity industry has struggled with great challenges in diversity and inclusion. For example, just 31 percent of Facebook and Apple employees are women, according to a recent report, and the overwhelming majority of computer science college graduates are white. One major focus of this year’s RSA Conference was in changing the culture of the cybersecurity industry to support increased diversity and encourage greater inclusion. This message was shared everywhere – across presentations and from the show floor – as people recognized the crucial need for improvement.
OneLogin’s Chief Security Officer, Justin Calmus, joined a panel discussion held at the Museum of the African Diaspora alongside other industry leaders, including Elevate Security co-founder Masha Sedova, MKACyber founder and CEO Mischel Kwon, Cisco application security manager Amanda Honea-Frias and moderator Aric Perminter, the president of the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP). Together, they shared vital observations and actionable strategies for fixing the problem with diversity and inclusion in the cybersecurity industry, such as creating conversations, fostering psychological safety, correcting behaviors and giving employees the power to break down walls.

Team OneLogin were the true rockstars of the show.
Without question, the success of this important event was due to our amazing team, who worked on-location and behind the scenes to make OneLogin a great destination for visitors (honorable mention goes to the strawberry smoothies, of course!). The energy and excitement that OneLogin shared every day was a magnet for show floor visitors, who came from all over the world to talk to our pros.
