OneLogin Celebrates International Women’s Day 2016

March 10th, 2016   /     /   company news

In honor of International Women’s Day, we wanted to pay tribute to those who have made social, economic, cultural and political progress on behalf of women around the world.

We are lucky to have many prolific employees at OneLogin. In particular, we’d like to shine the spotlight on three of our own amazing female leaders and celebrate their achievements.

Please meet Vera Sparre, Christine Johnston, and Mariana Garcia. They are part of our OneLogin team and rock!

Vera Sparre - Senior Director of Demand Generation, Marketing

“This athletic spirit has honed my goal orientation and commitment, especially in my role on the marketing team here at OneLogin.”

“One of the best things in my life has been the fact that I learned to ski before I walked, and that athletics have been a central part of my daily routine ever since. Before my formal professional career started, I skied competitively on a global basis, and my competitive spirit has become a part of who I am.”

“This athletic spirit has honed my goal orientation and commitment, especially in my role on the marketing team here at OneLogin. Playing sports has also expanded my horizons and increased my appreciation for all the many wonderful things in my life. We are hosting a Swiss exchange student this year as a way to also ensure we always have a global mindset and carry the torch of investment in others.”

Christine Johnston - Account Executive, Sales

“I’m happy to be able to bring that drive to my company and be a positive role model to my own family.”

“I am a proud mother to three beautiful kids, Reese 8, Alex 6 and Ava 2, and spend my days selling a very sophisticated technology product to a very technical client base. In order to balance the demands of work and my home life, I wake up at 5:00 AM to get in a quick workout, then get my kids ready for school, and usually make it to the office before most people. As a working mother I strive to always see the world through everyone else’s lens, and my years of sales training has given me strong empathetic listening skills.”

“As part of our corporate responsibility program, I even drove the company to meet the goals of our charitable giving campaigns. I’m happy to be able to bring that drive to my company and be a positive role model to my own family. I am able to balance all these demands because I have a strong family at home, and at work; it truly takes a village for all of us to prosper.”

Mariana Garcia - UX/UI Designer, Product

“The nice thing about working at OneLogin is that I can accomplish all of these things working from my home in Mexico.”

“My job at OneLogin is to create usable and delightful online experiences. I have skills in design strategy, user research, information architecture, data visualization, user interface design, and usability testing. As part of my DNA, I enjoy learning. Learning is such a big part of my motivation that I also teach others at ITESO University.”

“I enjoy meeting others and understanding how they think so I spend a lot of my time traveling and presenting at various global conferences. Most of my talks are about improving experiences for people and I learn as much from my own students as they learn from me. The nice thing about working at OneLogin is that I can accomplish all of these things working from my home in Mexico. The world is really becoming smaller and the technology that I design makes it easier for all of us to connect.”

Cheers to these three amazing individuals and all of the other women who are making an impact around the world. OneLogin would not be where it is today if not for all of the amazing and diverse people working to make our business a success.
