As we dive into the second half of 2018, it’s so exciting to see that the OneLogin machine is continuing to pick up steam.
We have just closed our most successful sales quarter in company history, and we’re hiring faster than ever. We’ve just secured a fresh $22.5 million in funding, and received some very exciting feedback from Gartner’s recent 2018 Magic Quadrant for Access Management!
All of this momentum continued to surge into last week, culminating in a newly focused set of company values, some awesome activities and awards for our tech talent, and an opportunity for the entire OneLogin team to give back to our community.
Redefining OneLogin’s Values
Over the course of the past few months, employees from several different teams within the OneLogin organization all came together to do a thorough review of the mission and values that make us who we are. As part of OneLogin’s continued growth, we are re-committing to our customers with a fresh company mission:

Everyone within the organization also contributed to the thoughtful redefinition of our new foundational values. As we grow, we know it’s essential to establish these foundations to attract the right team to take us to the next level:

These pillars serve as a foundation for the organization to build off of, as well as a beacon toward which our employees can strive. But the definition of these values was just the start of what made this week great.
Celebrating our “Tech-Talent”
What better way to dive headfirst into the values of creativity and collaboration than with the first ever OneLogin Technical Kick-Off!
Throughout the week of July 9, the whole company came together to celebrate our tech professionals and give them the chance to express themselves through their love for building, breaking and re-imagining.
The highlight of this event was the OneLogin Hackathon. Tech-minded employees flew into our SF office from around the globe and divided themselves into 12 small teams for some friendly competition.
These squads were challenged to bend, twist, transform and reimagine OneLogin products in creative ways, and come up with new applications or expansions to the technology. They had three days to develop a new idea before presenting to our panel of judges and colleagues.
The theme of the competition was “Not My Job.” Teams were strongly encouraged to work on a different product, use different tools, or innovate in ways that deviated from their usual day-to-day roles. There were only five rules:
At the end of the week, the whole organization came together to watch each team present their new idea.
Some innovations were goofy, like a new karaoke-based MFA app. While other ideas were more serious and may even become real OneLogin features later down the line!
In the end, our panel of judges gave out $3,000 in prize money to the top performers! The Best in Show Award ultimately went to Team A, who won $1,000 for their awesome security report-card feature!

Giving Back to the Community
Part of the OneLogin tradition is to look at every major milestone as a chance to give back to the communities that have given us so much opportunity.
After the Hackathon awards ceremony on Friday, July 13, employees from both our San Francisco, Redmond and London offices came together for a OneLogin Cares activity. As a team, we all prepared peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, assembled lunch bags, and wrote heartfelt notes to be delivered to those in need.
This was the second volunteer event that OneLogin has done in collaboration with GLIDE, a nonprofit dedicated to creating a radically inclusive, just and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization.
By the end of the day, the OneLogin team had prepared 700 lunches for people in need, each complete with a handwritten note to let the recipient know that they have someone out there thinking of them.
It’s these activities that make me feel especially proud to be part of the OneLogin family. It can be so easy to get swept up in the chaos of the workday, but taking the time to do something for others can really bring what’s truly important back into perspective.
