Enhanced Productivity and User Experience
Every time an employee joins or leaves your organization, there are countless onboarding and offboarding tasks that need to be completed.
For example, in many organizations, IT is required to manually set up all user accounts when new employees join the company. Since a typical organization may use hundreds of web applications, this can be an overwhelming, time-consuming process.
If you currently use a cloud identity provider like OneLogin, you’ve already introduced automation to many of these processes. However, onboarding and offboarding is a collaborative task managed by both HR and IT. Unfortunately, these teams typically use different and unconnected directories, meaning IT can’t even begin until they’ve received info from HR.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could skip all this manual work and just rely on your HRIS System as the primary source-of-truth? The good news is that this is now possible!
Thanks to this new integration, once an employee is given a start date in BambooHR, OneLogin will automatically provide them with single sign-on access to all of their applications in real-time.
Improved Data Security
This integration also boosts company security. For example, when employees leave a company, it’s critical to ensure that they no longer have access to company apps and data. What’s concerning, however, is that on average, 10% of former employees can still access the systems of their former employers. Yikes.
With this new integration, when an HR team member marks an employee “terminated” or “inactive”, they are automatically suspended within OneLogin, and shut out from all corporate web apps. And since OneLogin tracks all employee access to web apps, HR and IT can easily audit app access records to verify that no former employees still have access.
