From the way we connect people to technology to digitally transforming workforces, OneLogin is on the front line of securing digital innovation. But none of this would be possible without the amazing and dedicated hard work from our employees. That’s why the OneLogin MVP awards are a monthly celebratory event given to those who embody our 5 values: Security First, Customer Focused, Collaborative, Accountable, and Creative. Each month, OneLoginers have the option to nominate their peer, mentor, or manager for the award. The OneLogin MVP award is given to the employee(s) who has received the most nominations from their peers for embracing our OneLogin values through their work. Last month, we awarded Jack Kuntz, Sr. FP&A Analyst on our Finance team.
The recipient of our July MVP Award is Joseline Mendizabal, Marketing Project Manager! Congrats Joseline! We are so proud of all her hard work and, especially, for embracing our OneLogin values. Hear what our colleagues said about Joseline:
“Jos manages SO MUCH for the marketing team…Multiple projects, intense deadlines, changing priorities. She is always ready to jump in, turn the chaos into order, and make sure that we successfully cross our finish lines. And she keeps me honest…THANK YOU JOS!”
“Jos is the unsung hero in the marketing department – orchestrating and managing projects across multiple teams and disciplines. She consistently keeps everyone organized, on time, on track, and accountable. She works tirelessly, chases down every detail, and maintains a thoughtful process to have everyone on the same page … Not to mention, she also has her day-to-day role of project managing creative services deliverables, which certainly do add up to quite a bit! Jos smiles through it all and is a super team player. Jos is a boss. Hah.”
“Jos is one of my favorite people to work with at OneLogin. She is always ready to help and eager to figure out ways to get things done as quickly and painlessly as possible. I love troubleshooting and just talking through issues with her because we always seem to be able to come up with a solution. I know I can trust that she will get the job done.”
I love seeing all this OneLoginer love! I did a short interview with Joseline today so let’s get to know more about her day-to-day and what she likes to do in her free time:
What does a typical day at OneLogin look like for you?
This one’s tough — my days almost never look the same here at OneLogin! However, I like to begin my days by reviewing all our new (and in progress) requests from our internal team and cross-departmentally; these vary from full-on new campaigns to e-mail banners and creation of new landing pages. I then prioritize and assign these requests in the queue followed by a heavy collaboration with our Creative and Content teams to get their stamp of approval on details and timelines (this is one one of my favorite parts about my job because I learn SO much each day from a creative and strategic approach to web analytics). I then move on to working and reviewing any special projects I’ve been assigned to like checking in on status and following-up on any key pieces or blockers that need attention. I support our entire Marketing team so my projects can range from Content creation to Public Relations. In addition, I partner with key stakeholders to lead the optimization of our internal process; this requires a TON of cross-team collaboration since my main goal is to always ensure our process caters to stakeholders and is as seamless as possible from intake to final launch or delivery. I learn a lot from my process “partners-in-crime” which helps with decision making on what our next step should be. All in all, my days vary and depend on whether we have a new campaign launch or an imminent process-related matter. If one of those two2 is in the queue, I’m there. :)
What does being awarded OneLogin’s MVP of the Month award mean to you?
SO special! In my opinion, Project Management is a delicate balance between heavy team collaboration and learning to make your own decisions. Each day, I put a huge amount of focus on self-improvement and making sure I am supporting and collaborating my team the best way possible. So it’s nice to know that I am doing something right and my peers not only acknowledge it but chose to recognize me for it. I have grown exponentially at OneLogin thanks to each of them.
What are some things you enjoy doing outside of work?
I LOVE anything outdoors related, especially in the summer (I am a big fan of warm weather) — hiking, biking, going to the cold beach in SF and enjoying the minimal sun we get and bringing my dog along! Making time for my family and friends (from 6 ft. away now or outside) is a big one for me - spending time with them fills me with joy. I have recently been enjoying making and trying all types of different margaritas so I consider that a new-ish hobby.
If you could only live in one place for the rest of your life, where would it be and why?
Unfair question, it’s impossible to pick one place! I will say, my non-negotiables for this place though would be: where the sun is always present, amazing food is available (usually I eat all foods with 2-3 exceptions) and is dog-friendly.
