Back in June of this year, I was contemplating the next steps in my professional journey. My criteria for what I wanted to do next was relatively simple – I wanted to work with talented people as I’ve learned through the years, the company with the best team wins. At heart, I am a “product person” and therefore wanted a company that had clearly differentiated and high quality products that people loved to use; and lastly, I wanted a market opportunity big enough that would make a lasting impact on how business gets done.
When the OneLogIn opportunity came along, it matched all three of the key aspects of my criteria.
If you look across the three elements above, and then at OneLogin, it becomes clear why it was not only a great match for me personally, but why it’s a great choice for our current and future customers as well.
People. As I talk to customers, partners, industry watchers and employees one of the first questions I ask is, “What makes OneLogin different?” The one consistent response is “the team”. This is a team that is passionate about their company, their reputation and how they show up every day with customers. They come to work thinking about how to solve the challenges our customers are facing and solve them collaboratively; and when problems arise, as they inevitably do, this team rises to the challenge.
Product. We may have one of the best company names in the market. It is at the core of what we do – OneLogin - and with single sign-on (SSO) and identity access management (IAM) as key services we provide; our initial value prop is clear. But OneLogin is much more than the name implies. We are driving innovation with new adaptive authentication technologies that will bring machine learning and AI to the future of what will define this market. In addition, our OneLogin Desktop product is broadening our portfolio to meet the promise of secure access for every user, every application on every device.
Opportunity. While we have a strong offering for companies looking for SSO or IAM today, it’s just the beginning. Every business in the world today is facing similar challenges. The speed of business is accelerating, because of how digital technology is transforming every aspect of our lives. Whether your business is 3 or 300,000 employees in size; whether you need 5 or 5,000 applications to provide the information and automation necessary to run your business. Digital transformation is impacting the pace and likely the very survival of your business, no matter what industry you are in.
That means as a decision maker you have clear and present choices to make about your digital future. When do I move my organization or business to the cloud? What parts of it do I move to the cloud?
And once you answer those questions more follow… How do I control access to these new cloud services I need for my business to use to stay competitive? How do I ensure the privacy of the personal information associated with my employees, customers and others that want to have access to these services?
