Fall is an exciting time of year for OneLogin. We work closely with our customers and partners year-round, but OneLogin Connect is particularly special, as it brings us all together for a day. Well, make that two days! In late September, we hosted the first of two customer events in San Francisco, CA. While Connect gives us an opportunity to share our latest innovations and vision for the industry, it also allows us to hear back from you—our customers, partners, and prospects.
We’re thankful for our customers and partners who joined us to make Connect19 London a special event. This year’s conference was hosted October 15 at the ME London with guests in attendance from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, and Sweden. While we continued the theme “Connect Together,” this year’s conference also echoed a drumbeat of growth—not only within OneLogin and our product offerings, but also among our network of partners, and within our customers’ organizations.
Again, thank you to our customers and partners who joined us in London this year. We look forward to another year of collaboration and innovation. If you were unable to join us in London, we hope you’ll take a moment to enjoy some of the day’s highlights.
Our Vision for the Future
OneLogin President and CEO Brad Brooks started the morning with a CEO’s welcome. He was joined by OneLogin co-founder and CTO Thomas Pedersen who shared OneLogin’s vision for the future.
As noted at Connect19 in San Francisco, we are in the beginning of a fourth industrial revolution. We live in an increasingly-connected world that is driven by technology and computing. Several years ago, the biggest buzzwords in the tech industry were “digital transformation” and “cloud journey.” Today, these are the norm. As most businesses have recognized the cloud imperative, the question now is, “where do we go next?”
So, what will drive the digital workplace of tomorrow? Technology and connectivity are changing the modern workplace, not only in terms of job types, but also in terms of how employees do their jobs. And, the companies that best take advantage of the tools they give their employees will be the most successful. With this workplace evolution comes an opportunity—an opportunity to deliver trusted user experiences. OneLogin’s vision for responding to this opportunity is our Trusted Experience PlatformTM, which is designed to change the way we think about authentication and, ultimately, eliminate the password.
We Grow Alongside Our Customers
As we noted, Connect19 wasn’t just about us sharing our vision for the future. It also provided our customers an opportunity to share their own story. Just as OneLogin grows as a company, so too, do our customers and their organizations. This was apparent in stories told by OneLogin customers Square Enix and Galileo Global Education.
Square Enix, a computer-gaming company with locations in London, Paris, Hamburg, Montreal, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Japan, and Shanghai. In addition to their global presence, the company also manages thousands of partners and third-party vendors. Prior to their OneLogin solution, Square Enix managed two independent domains in the United States and Europe. Because they were limited by their on-premise infrastructure, access between the separate domains was a challenge. Their IT staff also managed high-volume password reset requests from their global network of partners and vendors.
Today, they have even more partners and staff. They now use OneLogin’s Active Directory connector which synchronizes with their domain and provides access to cloud apps for their US and EU users. They no longer manage password resets for partners and are able to enforce MFA for all external access to the network.
Galileo Global Education is a higher-education group that specializes in training across the fields of fashion, design, communication, and management. Their organization consists of forty schools across ten countries with 100,000 students and 10,000 faculty and staff members, as well as, thousands of alumni. With new acquisitions in different countries each year, Galileo, by nature has to maintain its flexibility. Their OneLogin instance was deployed in five countries with different IT departments.
Thomas Dechilly, Galileo’s Chief Technology Officer shared the story of how they selected OneLogin. Galileo sought a proof of concept from several vendors. They ultimately chose OneLogin for the simplicity of its UX and interface, open discussion of cost, and multi-tenant governance. Once they selected OneLogin as their vendor, their main challenge was defining an architecture of tenancy for each country and how they would use their OneLogin instance. Their global deployment was managed over the course of a year, with their deployment in Italy taking just one month.
Dechilly noted the value gained from their OneLogin solution. Their students are less concerned with the technical nuances of single sign-on (SSO). What matters to them is the ability to access all of their applications in one convenient place.
Acknowledging Our Partners and Customers
To close an exciting day, we took a moment to acknowledge our customers and partner award recipients. Customer honorees were recognized for their use of OneLogin’s platform to drive business transformation, cloud deployment, collaboration, and innovation. We also recognized the partner that best demonstrated commitment to customer innovation, product revenue and growth, by championing OneLogin products and offering solutions. This year’s award recipients include:
- Tesco, Most Collaborative award
- Noon E-Commerce, Best Cloud Growth award
- Royal Mail, Most Creative Use Case award
- Tata Consultancy Services, Partner System Integrator of the Year award
This marks the culmination of another exciting Connect19 season. We’re thankful to our customers and partners who joined us in San Francisco and London. As always, we look forward to your continued collaboration and innovation. We hope to see you next year. Cheers!
