BIC Graphic Donates $10,000 Worth of Student Supplies to Local Schools

Here at OneLogin, we are recognizing that our country and the world as a whole is fighting a battle which we’ve never experienced before. We are all working together, making sacrifices to fight the spread of COVID-19, while finding ways to give back and help one another. We are proud to recognize BIC Graphic, one of our wonderful customers, who has had to pivot to accommodate their business to the “new normal” while also finding ways to give back to their communities.

BIC Graphic Reacts & Responds

Prior to COVID-19, BIC Graphic was manufacturing and shipping office and school supplies on a regular basis to thousands of recipients nationwide. Considered an essential business in the state of Florida, BIC Graphic is still operating production sites. It is continuing to produce its hand sanitizer, which it sells directly to customers and donates to organizations on the frontlines. Moreover, it is producing antimicrobial versions of its promotional products, such as its BIC® Clic Stic® antimicrobial pens, which is in demand by hospitals. Additionally, BIC Graphic is selling products that make it easier for employees to work from home and for kids to learn at home.

Tommy Cradock, Information Technology/Sr. Unix/Linux Engineer for BIC Graphic reflects on their transition, “Like so many companies, we had to pivot to enable our employees to work from anywhere, and are figuring out ways we can help others who are also shifting the way they work. We are grateful to have a part to play during this critical time.”

As we all know, teachers have always had a full plate before the pandemic crisis, and now it seems like they’re working a double double shift without sufficient and proper classroom resources or training for themselves and their students. This challenge is what inspired BIC Graphic to make the philanthropic move to partner with Marjorie’s Hope, a local Florida non-profit organization that provides educational supplies, toys and other necessities to students to help provide a strong foundation for learning. The organization has been helping local schools through their Back to School Program for 19 years. BIC Graphic’s most recent donation of over 3,000 items, worth $10,000, includes technology accessories, awards, health products and office supplies among other items to recognize and show appreciation for local educators. “Partnering with Marjorie’s Hope gives us the opportunity to show support for area teachers,” said Melissa Ralston, BIC Graphic CMO. “As a group, educators have gone above and beyond to connect with their students through the challenges presented by COVID-19 and we are thrilled to recognize their efforts with this donation.”

Supporting the Efforts

OneLogin is proud to serve BIC Graphic during this critical time and to have helped their IT team transition successfully to remote work within one week. With the emergence of COVID-19, BIC Graphic had to quickly set up half of the company’s workforce to work from home, but one of their immediate issues was that not all of these workers had company laptops with a VPN client to get into the company’s systems. OneLogin was able to step in and implement our Remote Desktop Gateway solution and get the team up and running within the week.
