This month, we are celebrating the contributions of Asian Pacific Americans - their history, their stories, their voices, their pain, and most importantly, the diversity they bring.
From their families and communities to our country’s history, we are grateful for their achievements and contributions. At OneLogin, we believe that everyone should feel like they belong. We promote a culture of inclusion that values diversity and equity.
OneLogin’s Asian Pacific Americans are passionate about supporting the Asian community and their various interests. They also strive to honor the contributions of Asian and Pacific Islanders throughout US history.
Being a true ally is a concept that many of our OneLoginers have embraced. We asked a few members of AAPI at OneLogin, an employee resource group (ERG) who are passionate about supporting the Asian community, what AAPIH Month means to them, and what it means to be a true ally.
More from Suppa: “In my experience, I’ve noticed Asians and Asian Americans related issues and topics are often overlooked or swept under the rug entirely in mainstream media. I think this is because of the fact that generally speaking, Asians and Asian Americans are raised to endure and work to resolve problems in silence or on their own; a case of the ‘model minority.’ Asking or expecting help is not a norm in our community, neither is speaking about the issues affecting us. Due to this, issues that are impacting our community rarely receive any attention.”
We’re stronger together as One. This month, we’re asking everyone to be an ally and support the Asia Pacific community. Find out how to support your local Asian community in this helpful resource guide.
