Ovum On The Radar report on OneLogin

November 15th, 2012   |     |  Company News

Ovum, the UK based analyst firm, devoted a recent ‘On The Radar’ report to OneLogin. Andrew Kellett, lead analyst on the Ovum IT security team describes OneLogin as “fast to deploy, and can scale to support millions of users, including complex directory infrastructures.” On The Radar reports feature technology vendors that show clear innovation compared to similar services.

Kellett writes:

“The important requirement when considering working with a specialist supplier of identity in the cloud services is to make sure that the selected vendor has the technical expertise to work with existing IAM infrastructure providers, their systems, and their source directories. The vendor has to take full responsibility for the seamless integration of access to cloud-based services. OneLogin takes this responsibility.”

Key messages

  • The role of OneLogin is to help users gain easy and secure access to webbased applications, and to maintain this status when moving between the cloud and traditional business systems.
  • Good integration is maintained with mainstream IAM products, so that users can move between core business systems and cloudbased services without the need for reauthentication.
  • Directory integration is an important strength of the product, which includes seamless integration and synchronization with Active Directory (AD) and other lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) directories.
  • Users expect to be able to search corporate information whenever the need arises. Realtime search facilities have therefore been added to the OneLogin product portfolio.
